Poster Presentation Information
Please see below all requirements for formats, uploads and deadlines for Poster Presentations at IUCr 2023.

Requirements for Poster Presenters
- You will need to create your poster based on the specifications below and have it printed ready to display on your allocated poster board on your presentation days.
- Posters are also requested to be created as a PDF and uploaded to the poster submission platform for display in the digital poster gallery*.
In Person Poster Details
- A0 in size and portrait mode.
- Printed (paper or material base)
- Your poster should be hung on your poster board from 9am on your allocated presentation day and removed by 4pm on your final presentation day. Any posters not removed by 4pm will be disposed of.
- Poster presenters are encouraged to stand alongside their poster on their first presentation day to answer any questions from interested parties or award judges, but are encouraged to move away from their poster and walk around to view other posters on their second presentation day.
- Interstate or International authors are encouraged to print their poster before arriving in Melbourne, but local printing can be requested at Print on Demand South Melbourne in advance If needed.
Digital Poster Details
- A4 in size (maximum two pages)
- PDF format
- To be uploaded to the poster submission portal by 20 August 2023
- Authors may also elect to record and upload a 3-minute video submission that explains their poster to go alongside the presentation in the digital gallery. The video must be in MP4 format and uploaded publicly to VIMEO, YouTube or related national video streaming site.
Poster Sessions
Poster sessions will take place at the below times and locations
- 11:10 – 12:10 Wednesday 23 August, in the Exhibition and Level 2 Foyer
- 11:10 – 12:10 Thursday 24 August, in the Exhibition and Level 2 Foyer
- 11:10 – 12:10 Friday 25 August, in the Exhibition and Level 2 Foyer
- 11:10 – 12:10 Saturday 26 August, in the Exhibition and Level 2 Foyer
- 11:10 – 12:10 Sunday 27 August, in the Exhibition and Level 2 Foyer
- 11:10 – 12:10 Monday 28 August, in the Level 2 Foyer
- 11:10 – 12:10 Tuesday 29 August, in the Level 2 Foyer
The link for the submission platform will be e-mailed to submitting authors in late July. If you do not have the link for the poster submission platform or it is not working as anticipated, please contact the Congress Secretariat
