FEBS Open Bio Poster Award

FEBS Open Bio is an open access journal owned by the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) and published by Wiley.  FEBS is a charity whose objectives are to promote research and education in the Life Sciences.  The journal is sponsoring a FEBS Open Bio poster prize of €200. A panel of jurors will view shortlisted posters at the event and talk to the presenters. The jurors will be looking for high-quality and exciting unpublished or recently published research in the area of the interface between structure and function of macromolecules and their complexes, presented in a clear and appealing manner.

Awardee to be announced at the Congress

FEBS Open

Quantum Crystallography Poster Prize

The Quantum Crystallography Poster Prize will be awarded to the best poster presenting research in the field of broadly understood quantum crystallography. All poster presentations by students (including graduate Master or PhD students) submitted to a Microsymposia sponsored, or co-sponsored, by the IUCr Commission on Quantum Crystallography will be considered. The winner will receive a $250 USD prize as supported by Rigaku.

IUCr Journals Poster Prizes

The IUCr Executive Committee is pleased to continue the series of IUCr Journals awards to be presented at IUCr Congresses. A prize will be awarded to the best poster from a student [undergraduate, postgraduate (Masters), PhD] in each of the following four categories: structural biology, structural chemistry, materials, and instrumentation and methods, and will consist of IUCr75 commemorative items, a three-year membership of the IUCr Associates Programme and a certificate.

wwPDB Biological Macromolecules Poster Prize

The wwPDB Foundation is happy to support two awards of $250USD each that will be presented to the best posters from research presented in the Biological Macromolecule field by students (including undergraduates, postgraduates (Masters) and PhD) at the Congress.

The awardees will be announced at the Congress, with the prize money to be paid post-Congress directly from the wwPDB Foundation. The wwPDB Foundation supports the outreach activities of the Worldwide Protein Data Bank (wwPDB).

Oxford University Press Poster Prizes

Oxford University Press is pleased to support four poster prizes for the IUCr 2023 Congress by sharing a selection of books for the winners to receive. These will be offered to the top four high-ranking posters across all symposium topics.

The winners will be announced at the Congress and given their prizes onsite.

CCDC Poster Prizes

The Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC) is proud to support four awards of £100GBP each that will be presented to the best posters from research presented in the Chemical Crystallography subject area (including advances in instrumental, experimental or computational techniques) or in the area of applications of small-module crystallographic information (in structural chemistry, molecular modelling, materials design, structural biology or chemical informatics) by students (including undergraduates, postgraduates (Masters) and PhD) at the Congress.

The awardees will be announced at the Congress, with the prize money to be paid post-Congress directly from the CCDC post-event.

SCANZ Poster Prizes

The Society of Crystallographers in Australia and New Zealand (SCANZ https://scanz.iucr.org/) is proud to support two awards of $200AUD each that will be presented to the best posters presented by students (including undergraduates, postgraduates (Masters) and PhD) at the Congress.

The awardees will be announced at the Congress, with the prize money to be paid post-Congress directly from SCANZ post-event.
